One of the toughest places to light is the perimeter of a building. While the central portion of a building is illuminated by contributions from many light fixtures, the area near the walls is only effectively lighted by nearby fixtures. Plus often your back is to the fixtures, blocking light and making shadows. And when you pull a vehicle in next to a wall, the overhead lighting is blocked all together.
For this reason, I most often mount 8’ fixtures directly on the wall. The fixtures are tipped to point in. So light shines down on work benches and diagonally onto vertical surfaces. This listing is for the special bracket we make to do this. But, you can also hang the fixtures from the ceiling with chain and tip them using an offset chain bail. This lets you aim light where needed.
